A Partridge in a Pear Tree – Plews Potting Shed

Christmas tree - borough market London

Many birds are mentioned in the classic Christmas song the Twelve Days of Christmas – doves, hens, colly birds, swans, geese, partridge. And quite a  selection of people, what with dairy maids, dancing ladies, leaping lords and all those musicians…but there’s only one tree mentioned, a pear tree.

I wrote this Plews blog as I tend to struggle when asked what I would like for Christmas, so it occurred to me, how relevant are the twelve days of gifts for a gardener?

Why not click over to Plews Potting Shed and see what I came up with for four of the Twelve Days of Christmas?
